Micropigmentation is the process of inserting inorganic or organic hypoallergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. A skilled technician will be able to mimic eyebrows, eyeliner, lip colour, camouflage, small areas of vitiligo, scars, burns and a whole host of other features. Read more here.
Microblading uses a non-electrical, handheld tool - both techniques deliver similar results, but we use a class -A precision device for both cosmetic and medical micropigmentation, which is approved by the health industry. Read more here.
Our equipment is designed to be resilient and protect you from cross-contamination. Individual parts of the device are made to be sterilised and in addition to this, we only use single-use needles. This way we keep you safe from any infection.
Everyone has a different pain threshold. For some people it can just sting and for others it can be uncomfortable. We do our very best to limit any discomfort you may feel whilst going through your procedure by using a topical anaesthetic gel, where appropriate, and by having skilled practitioners, we give you the very best of our experience.
We don't advise swimming immediately after your procedure because of the raised risk of infection. Micropigmentation requires the use of sterile needles to insert pigment into the skin so until the healing process is complete, we recommend that you refrain from swimming and follow the post-procedural advice we issue and can be tailored per person.
In most cases your semi-permanent makeup will generally last (depending on your skin type and lifestyle) between 12 and 36 months before it needs retouching. Even so, your procedure results will last much longer and be visible whilst fading. Following our aftercare instructions closely will help your results to have longevity but it's very normal for it to fade as the months pass by. We advise a follow up appointment to maintain your perfect look and refresh the pigments.
Permanent makeup is a perfect choice if you are looking for a no-fuss, no-smudge look, but it does require some commitment to have top-up, colour refresher sessions when the results start to fade.
Absolutely. Even if you've never had a skin test reaction before you should always be tested. Allergies can spontaneously start at any point in our lives and can potentially be very dangerous. A skin test is compulsory before any cosmetic or medical enhancement at HazelDiamond.com and it will help us to protect your health.
Not every skin type is suitable for permanent makeup. Every skin retains pigment differently, whether that's long-lasting details or fading quickly. If we feel that in our expert opinion, your proposed treatment will not benefit you or that it is inadvisable, we reserve the right to refuse to deliver the work. This will always be in your best interests. Ultimately, your no-obligation, consultation appointment with our experienced staff is highly advisable.
Yes, we will ask you some basic questions about your medical history during the consultation appointment before your treatment, but our questions are specific to our field of expertise. Some conditions can affect the results of your procedure and in order to give you the very best and safest treatment we need to know if you are affected by any of the conditions below. If you are, please speak to your technician before any treatment commences.
Contraindications include but are not limited to:
• If you are pregnant or nursing.
• Under 18.
• Diagnosed with Haemophilia or other blood clotting disorders/taking blood thinning medication.
• Under the influence of alcohol, drugs or prescription narcotics.
• Epilepsy.
• Diabetes.

• Pre-existing semi-permanent makeup.
This list is not limited nor exhaustive, and the advice you receive at your pre-treatment appointment should always take precedence. Always speak to your technician if you have questions about your treatment.
It really does depend on the treatment you are having and your skin type. Your technician will be able to give you an idea of the timings and what to expect at each stage of your treatment. All details will be discussed with you prior to the start of your treatment.
It's natural to think about the results and worry when you are planning to undergo a treatment with long-lasting effects but, as professionals, we take our time to talk you through all the options before you get to the treatment room. Hazel and her team have performed countless micropigmentation procedures and their combined experience means that we are able to advise you and guide you through the process confidently. We really want you to be delighted with your results.
We work with you to agree your treatment plan and any decisions made will be fully explained and gently drawn onto your skin with pencil. This means that you can see how the final design will look. It gives you that confidence to know that the shape, colour and style is exactly what will suit you and enhance your look.
By doing this, we give you the opportunity to change and review any designs before you choose, and we aim to bring you results you will love. We believe that the pre-care and preparation are just as important as the actual implanting of the pigment.

In our industry, we see a wide variety of standards and prices, but the fact is if you want the very best results, it does cost more to achieve them. It takes more time, training, experience and preparation. In a mostly unregulated industry, paying for an experienced and reputable artist will ultimately deliver the results you want. In our opinion, it is better to be ready to pay for an experienced artist than go for the very cheapest option, it is a big commitment and better to get it right first time.
You can find our competitive pricelists for each clinic location here. Please note that treatment fees can vary depending on individual skin-types and designs.
We can't stress enough how important it is that both pre and post procedure care is adhered to. Post-procedure aftercare is every bit as important as the preparation We always talk through the aftercare straight after your treatment but small adjustments to your daily routine will make the world of difference to your results.
For your results to last and look as amazing as possible, we recommend that you follow the instructions given by your consultant as closely as possible. Aftercare can be different for each person and depends on the particular procedure they have received. Contact us if you need more information or advice about aftercare.
